Morocco’s DGSSI Issues Urgent Warning on Critical WhatsApp and WordPress Vulnerabilities

Rabat, Morocco – The General Directorate for Information Systems Security (DGSSI) in Morocco has issued an urgent security bulletin alerting citizens to a critical vulnerability in WhatsApp for Windows and a high-risk flaw in the WordPress SureTriggers plugin, as part of ongoing efforts to combat rising cyber threats.
WhatsApp for Windows Vulnerability
According to the DGSSI’s Cybersecurity Monitoring and Response Center, a severe vulnerability affects all WhatsApp versions for Windows prior to 2.2450.6. This flaw could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, posing a significant risk to users. Meta, WhatsApp’s parent company, has released a patch to address the issue.
The DGSSI strongly urges all Moroccan users to update their WhatsApp application immediately, following Meta’s security bulletin for the necessary fixes.
WordPress SureTriggers Plugin Flaw
In a separate warning, the DGSSI highlighted a critical vulnerability in the SureTriggers plugin for WordPress, affecting versions prior to 1.0.79. Identified as CVE-2025-3102, this flaw could enable attackers to bypass security measures and compromise websites. WordPress has released an update to resolve the issue.
The DGSSI advises all users to promptly update the SureTriggers plugin through WordPress’s official update page to mitigate risks.
