Extraordinary OIC Ministerial Meeting Addresses Palestinian Issue with Morocco’s Participation
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held an extraordinary meeting in Jeddah on March 7, 2025, focused on the Palestinian issue. Morocco participated actively, led by Ambassador Fouad Yazourh, to reaffirm collective support for Palestinian rights and emphasize the significance of the cause for the Arab and Islamic Ummah.

Jeddah, March 7, 2025 – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) convened an extraordinary meeting of its Council of Foreign Ministers on Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian issue. Morocco joined the 20th extraordinary session, underscoring its commitment to the Palestinian cause, which remains a central priority for the Arab and Islamic Ummah.
The Moroccan delegation was led by Fouad Yazourh, Ambassador and Director General of International Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates. The delegation also included Mustapha Mansouri, Morocco’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC, Abdelali Al-Jahed, Head of the Division of Arab and Islamic Organizations at the ministry, and Othman Rahho, Deputy Permanent Representative of Morocco to the OIC.
The meeting aimed to send a resolute message to the international community, reaffirming that the Palestinian question continues to be the cornerstone of the Arab and Islamic world’s collective concerns. Discussions focused on addressing ongoing developments and challenges related to the issue, emphasizing the OIC’s unified stance in support of Palestinian rights.
